About Andrea Lieberstein, MPH, RDN, RYT, IMTA CMT-P
Andrea Lieberstein; A mindfulness-based registered dietitian nutritionist, mindful eating (MB-EAT) and mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) instructor and coach, trainer, and registered yoga instructor has specialized in helping people transform their lives for over 30 years. She leads well nourished, mindfulness meditation and mindful eating trainings and retreats at retreat centers across the country and internationally. Her individual coaching sessions are accessible to anyone through phone or a virtual video office. She utilizes Mindfulness-Based Eating Awareness Training (MB-EAT), MBSR, MSC (Mindful Self-Compassion) and other mindfulness-based and mindful eating practices in her private practice working with individuals on a wide range of disordered eating, healthy weight management, body image and stress related issues and health concerns.
She trains health professionals and the public in Mindfulness-Based Eating Awareness (MB-EAT) at Omega Institute, Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health, Esalen Institute and 1440 Multiversity with the program's founder, Jean Kristeller and internationally, and trains health professionals worldwide in the online live interactive MB-EAT program. Andrea is also a guest teacher at meditation retreat centers such as Spirit Rock Meditation Center, Silent Stay and Vajrapani Institute.
She was instrumental in implementing the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Program in Kaiser Permanente's Northern California Region in the 1990's. She directed Mind, Body, Spirit Programs at Kaiser Permanente San Francisco for many years and was a leader in developing and implementing mindfulness and mind body programs at Kaiser Permanente Northern California for over 20 years. She is the best-selling author of "Well Nourished", a contributing author to Resources for Teaching Mindfulness: An International Handbook and also contributed to the books The Relaxation and Stress Reduction Workbook (fifth edition) and Some Leaders Are Born Women.
Her clients have included individuals, corporations (such as Google and Marvell), medical centers, schools and colleges. She is a certified Mindfulness and Mindful Eating Teacher, trained in Jon Kabat-Zinn's nationally acclaimed Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Program, The MB-EAT Program - Mindfulness Based Eating Awareness Training developed by Jean Kristeller, Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) developed by Kristin Neff, Harvard Medical School sponsored Mind Body Medicine Symptom Reduction Program (developed by Joan Boryensenko and Herbert Benson), certified yoga instructor through IYT - Integrative Yoga Therapy, trained in Integral Coaching Methods through New Ventures West, Circlework Teacher Training developed by Jalaja Bohnheim, Continuum Movement developed by Emilie Conrad Daoud and is a certified hypotherapist and certified ecotherapist.
Her formal education includes a Baclaureate Degree from Stanford University in Human Biology with an emphasis on preventive medicine and healthy lifestyles and a Master's Degree in Public Health Nutrition from University of California, Berkeley.
Andrea has practiced vipassana (mindfulness) meditation and yoga since the mid-1980's, and is inspired daily by a regular yoga and meditation practice. She particularly enjoys practicing in nature and incorporating the healing power of nature and mindfulness based nature practices into her retreats and programs whenever possible.

She weaves together a personalized program based on the unique needs and preferences of each client.
